Our phonics tiles are the perfect resource to use with your child to help them learn the sounds in phonics. Our phase 2 set include all the sounds that children are taught in phase 2 of the Letters and Sounds document. As your child learns a sound at school they can use their phonics tiles to reinforce that learning at home.
Our phonics tiles are great for word building and for spelling. We have designed our phonics tiles in a hexagon shape to introduce an additional learning aspect as your child can connect the tiles together in different patterns.
The opportunities for learning with our wooden phonics tiles are endless. The wooden groves of each letter allow your child to trace the letter and become familiar with not only the letter name and sound but how to form the letter also. They can be filled with different sensory resources like play dough or seeds, used for crayon rubbings and can be free standing to create and build simple CVC words.
A set includes 23 sounds from the phase 2 Letter and Sounds document. Our phonics tiles have just the lowercase letter and are single sided. Each set comes with a wooden tracing stick which your child can use to trace each letter and develop their pencil grip.
The sounds included are: s a t p i n m d g o c k ck e u r h b f ff ll ss
Our phonics tiles are made from solid beech wood and finished with a natural raw oil. The wooden tracing stick is made from beech dowel and is designed to be similar to that of a pencil to help your child develop their pencil grip.
Our products are all CE tested and UKCA tested.
Please note our products are learning resources and they are not to be used as toys. Your child should always be supervised by an adult when using them.
